If you want to be inspired in visiting the Malaysia, you might as well visit the house turned into museum at the heart of Penang. This was known as The House of Yeap Chor Ee. It was opened to public by the owner’s grandson to celebrate the success of the life and achievement of his grandfather. This house was owned by Yeap Chor Ee, a philanthropist and a businessman who was originally from China. He was just 17 years old when he had reached the land of Penang. He has no money but was very determined to have money. With his powerful business sense, he had worked that hard before he had lived a comfortable life. He had now become the richest man in Penang. His life’s achievement has just end there. He had helped many people especially the poor ones, to receive a better education.
The house was the perfect thing to be inspired with the life of this great man. Upon entering this humble house, you can also still get in touch with the past by the elegant antiques and furniture situated in the house. The humility, courtesy, generosity and integrity of the immigrant’s tough life during the early days were presented through an audio form. There is no other place to go to get inspired, only at The House of Yeap Chor Ee in Penang.
